The current jackpot is 87 million. A ticket costs $1 and the odds of winning are 1 in 292,000,000, but according to alt right math thats rounded up to 1 in 10, meaning that for $1 I can buy a powerball ticket with a present value of $8.7 million.
Am I missing something guise? Seems like a good deal tbh.

Depends on the current ifr
I buy when Powerball ($2 ticket) goes above $400 million. I used to think that if God meant for me to win the lottery, I'd find one on the ground somewhere. Now I think that God helps those who help themselves :-)

:lmao “god helps those who help themselves” is one of the most flagrant confirmation biases I’ve ever seen related to religion.

Yes I very clearly remember the account where Jesus had a loaf of bread and a few fish and told the hungry crowds “Go get your own food, no handouts here :-)”

RandomGuy might have TDS, but FrostKing takes the title for biggest political forum math retard after today’s showing.
Seriously, you guys need to lighten up :-) Besides, I only buy now I'm working - didn't when I was homeschooling - then I pinched EVERY penny.

What percentage of the time are conservatives being serious, and what percentage of the time are they intentionally saying dumb shit to trigger the libs? No rounding on the percentages, I can’t tell if the conservative view of how rounding works is serious or just trigger material.

Im thinking its more paraphrasing God saying fairly ridiculous stuff to make the "paraphraser" feel they are ok in his eyes.
But always sinners. Never, forget that.

Those questions have not been studied but the answer is equal to or greater than 1 for sure.

hard to tell with some people, tbh...
:lmao I love this retarded line of thinking too.
”$250 million jackpot? Pffffftttttt not even worth it, I’ll wait till it’s $400 million.”
Pots over 400 million are far and few between. I'd be spending a lot more on lottery tickets if I bought at 250.
You guys are so critical - it must be tough being your significant others.

half serious:
Yes. One ticket. positive fraction still larger than zero.
I will occasionally buy a ticket for fun on that basis. I put it it the entertainment budget.

If you’re even being one quarter serious about the “any fraction is greater than zero thus rounded up” stupidity, you should research the viability of suicide.

"thus rounded up"? (not sure what you mean by that)
I don't look at it as if I have any chance. It is mildly amusing entertainment for a few minutes. I figure I spend 15 bucks buying/renting movies on a regular basis, a dollar for this stuff every few months is along the same lines. A fair part of it in Texas goes to school budgets, so has that added benefit, in my view.

Derp just said oxygen isn't important in the Nick Cordero thread in the off topic section.

Wouldn't be surprised if he auto-erotic asphyxiates himself to chump posts, tbh. So maybe he's right from his own personal viewpoint. Let's hope he goes David Carradine levels.

Never bought a lottery ticket in my life and plan to never buy one either. Can't understand why anyone would ever spend a cent on a lottery ticket. I don't like giving money away.

I have actually gambled exactly ONCE. Bet $50 on a blackjack hand. I won, and walked away. Had a wonderful steak dinner in the casino restaurant and went on my merry way. :D
