How can you defend the management of this? Even many GOP donors are angry and surprised. It's typical Trump.
He's told by Roy Cooper, the North Carolina Governor, that a full scale convention is a bad idea during the middle of a pandemic and that they need a plan to hold it safely, so naturally Trump rejects that and decides to burn millions of dollars in sunk costs in North Carolina and move the real show of the convention to Florida.
Then, Trump has to fundraise for essentially a second convention only to have to cancel the one in Florida because it's obvious how bad the virus is spreading in Florida and also because of the possibility of even more financial losses. That's the kind of leadership we're getting.
