Very few people base their vote for President on the VP choice. Calling it now.

derp thinks elections are rigged anyway, so why would anything else matter?

If Biden loses, which looks very unlikely at this point, I would pin it on the DNC for putting the machine behind another candidate that can't get anybody excited to go out there and cast a vote.

Basically, Biden's campaign so far has been "I'm not Trump", which is extremely risky, and frankly unnecessary. This is the easiest race for the DNC to win in decades, it would be a pretty monumental fumble, tbh...

That remains to be seen. Certainly, there are some red flags though.

my personal take is that VP's aren't going to give anybody a boost, but if you pick somebody awful, it can be to the candidate's destriment

i think susan rice would have been a small blunder. kamala is somewhat neutral. i would have preferred warren because it may have signaled a more progressive agenda. duckworth probably would have been the hardest to attack for team trump, but i dont know that she was ever in the conversation

Harris is half South Asian Indian and half British Jamaican

I wonder if she will cause progressives to stay home, with both Biden and Harris anti-progressive.

or will "dump the Trash" be the winning motivation?

As a candidate? Not at all. She generated excitement that gave Bush III a semblance of a chance.

They wouldn't want 4 more years of Trash, but would be butthurt so much by the Dem establishment neocon, neoliberal ticket that they stay away.

Remember when you made a thread predicting Democrats would make excuses about losing the election, then you spent 3 months (and counting) making excuses for Dear Leader losing?
