I actually think the neutral court hurts the lower seed more, because it takes away the shock value of winning on the road. Any other year, Orlando winning game 1 would be a bigger deal because they "stole one" on the road. This year, there is no stealing games on the road because everyone is staying at the same resort the entire time. And there's no fans, and they don't even make the fake crowd noise particularly loud for the designated "home" team.

So instead of thinking, "Now we have to travel to Orlando and win one over there"

Now it's just, "We gotta wake up tomorrow in this luxury resort and play on the same court again every day" :lol
