Damn, i might have been too young to remember right, but wasn't there an American show with the same kind of puppets. I remember a Phil Collins/Genesis video that had them too. I had nightmares as a kid from those things!

It's the continuation of the english show - spitting image (http://www.museum.tv/archives/etv/S/htmlS/spittingimag/spittingimag.htm). I believe there was an american spin off for a short time. Anyway "Les Guignoles" are hilarious and I've never seen a show that is tougher on it's own politician than this one.
