Damn, he already looks like a man among boys out there.
The sobbing has already begun in Sooner and Buckeye Nation.

I think it's the only way he'll have a shot at beating USC.

It's the only way he can collect that Tom Hicks sponsored trust fund in 5 years.
:lol
I heard Ryan Perriloux committed to UT, too!
No, but that's all well and good - but I'll believe it after the date to declare for the draft has passed.

I guess he doesn't want to be a Houston Texan.

I rather have Vince back for his Senior season than him be in the NFL.

I agree whole-heartedly. You should play your senior year of college football!! Especially since you're a fuckin bad ass named Vince. Don't be a punk and head to NFL like true punks do...

Texas deserves credit for getting their guys to stay for their full eligibility - hopefully its also leading to those same guys getting degrees (don't have the stats on that). The only way I see Vince coming out is if they win the NC - I think he stands more to gain by staying another year and refining his passing skills than coming out after this year as a project QB.

I thought it was well known that the Longhorns have less than a quarter of its players earning degrees. Texas graduates less players than any team besides BYU, I think. There was a big stink about it in the American-Statesman last year. I'll see if I can find the link.
edit: Texas is tied for 114th with Middle Tennessee State (19%), and only Pitt and BYU rank beneath them. Not the Statesman poll, but I think it was in the same vein.

His point exactly.
Vince will do well to stay another year and solidify his place as a QB at the next level. He throws a pretty good ball, has better reads, but still tends to make bad decisions from time to time. I hope to see him in the NFL, as a QB one day, but if he left this year, that might be in jeoprady.

No doubt.
Let the deadline date pass & it'll be known for sure & breathing will be easier, or not. :lol

i'll wait until the press conference, especially since a couple of big things will likely factor into his decision: heisman and national championship.

Thanks j-6... was not aware of these stats. I'm surprised that Texas is that low - I'm even more surprised that BYU and Pitt are that low, considering that they are better known for their academic programs than their athletic ones. I would have thought programs like FSU and Miami would be ranked near the bottom, but surprisingly they are not.

I'd like to see him in Jets Green, but the goddamn Jets (Herman Edwards, Terry Bradway, and Woody Johnson) are so fuckin stupid they'd pass on Vince to draft a punter or something fuckin stupid like that.......anyways if he'd go out this year it'd be interesting...but if he comes back next year its goin to be interesting.
maybe he can replace Air McNair in Tennessee in 2007 then

That is disappointing about the grad rates. I expect more from UT.

If vince stays they really need to get rid of the side arm motion that he throws with. That is going to kill him in the pros. He would have such an advantage with his height if he would throw the ball with good technique. In the NFL he will have a lot of balls knocked down. He also will not look like a man amongst Boys.
I would not want the cowboys to draft him, he would not fit into their offensive scheme.
