If we're talking about the Spurs forum, I think it was less about toxic or non-PC posts, and more about the overwhelming and non-stop flood of really shitty basketball takes. It became a cesspool of opportunistic anti-Parker or anti-Manu trolling. Certainly a lot of that came with racism, homophobia, etc, but even without that stuff I think the people you're talking about would have left.

Since a lot of people were here for the "Spurs talk," they probably went elsewhere for that, and activity on other forums was impacted accordingly.
