Let's talk about injuries. Last year, the Lakers smoked the stacked Dubs team on National TV. They were 4th in the West and like 1.5 games out of 1st IIRC. Let's say Bron doesn't miss 54 games. Ingram doesn't miss 30 games. Lonzo doesn't miss 35 games.

The Lakers are in the playoffs last year. That's significant. Why? Because if they won even 1 round, that puts more value on the young guns. Then the price for AD is reduced (I still say he ends up in LA either way).

If you need "home court advantage" to play well you're a front running loser. Fans don't block shots. Fans don't rebound. Fans don't...you get my point.

The desire to win comes from within. It takes talent, a little bit of luck (see AD's game winner vs Denver; that was shades of Sean Elliott vs Blazers in 1999), leadership, commitment to one another, championship experience and chemistry. To be fair I thought the Clippers or Bucks would beat them but those 2 teams choked and the Lakers took advantage of it. It's a long season and anything can happen. Sh!t, if I was Duncan I'd be happy with five championships regardless of how I got them.
