I don't know. Just think of what Watson could do with a dominant WR.

not to mention a top 3 wide receiver and sure fire hall of famer. should have been another andre johnson or better, but nope... what an idiot, i've been calling for him to get the axe since the Texans got embarrassingly shut out at home by a mediocre (Alex Smith at the time) Chiefs team in the playoffs... but that was 5 years ago

whoever replaces him will not have an easy job. a team without any good young talent on rookie deals... no 1st/2nd round pick coming up
will be at least a 2 year rebuild imo

They ran a poll here in Houston would you rather have the Astros win the World Series and the Texans go 0-16 and fire BOB. Or would you rather have the Texans win the Super Bowl and the Astros got dismantled as a team. Everybody chose the Astros winning bc literally everyone here hates BOB :lmao
Caller after caller: ”I choose the Astros winning the World Series bc the Texans will never win the SuperBowl with Bill O Brian”

Trading a 1st & a 2nd round pick for a Franchise Left-Tackle to protect Deshaun Watson was the right move.
Trading DeAndre Hopkins to save a ton of money was also the right move (the Cardinals aren't exactly lighting-it-up with him right now, considering what they had to pay him) -- it's not O'Brien's fault that Watson is being exposed by not having Hopkins as a crutch anymore.
As a head coach, O'Brien has never missed the playoffs; he was getting into the post-season with Brian Hoyer & Brock Osweiller at QB before Watson even showed-up in Texas.
This is a panic move by the Texans franchise and instead of putting the blame on their "franchise" quarterback, they decided to fire the coach/GM...typical.

Agreed. NFL fans are 1 step below NBA for fanboys. Always side with the players.
Texans will get worse without O'Brien.

Not until the offseason since that whole thing where he’s under contract with Kansas City.

If they want him, I'm guessing they can secure him now to take over next season, tbh.
