I ended up trying Afterlife which turned out to be excellent. Decided to check out some of RGs other shows.
Derek is probably not going to be for everyone but I enjoyed it a lot.
Then went further back to watch Extras and it was very good as well.

Other than the Office and his emcee duties, I wasn't really aware how talented he was as a writer and actor.

His funniest stuff is the old XFM radio shows and podcasts. In big part due to Karl Pilkington though tbh

He was pretty funny in GTA IV; pretty much the only good part of the game.

Theres things that come out of his mouth that make me laugh at times but he still gives me a very punchable face impression

I'm in the middle of Season 2. It's good but not great. The things Karl says are pretty funny at times but after a season and a half, there isn't much new. And the fact that he acts surprised at the stuff they're making him do seems disingenuous.
But not a bad show to throw on and kill an hour here or there.
