Guess it is best for GOP incumbents to distance themselves from trump per their surveys. Hate to see it.
Per the article: The New York Times reports that "private G.O.P. surveys" show that Trump "is trailing not just in must-win battlegrounds" but is "repelling independents to the point where Mr. Biden has drawn closer in solidly red states, including Montana, Kansas and Missouri."

It’s all falling apart for Trump.

Correct and his management of funds has not helped him.

Why trump is losing support?
The Economic Policy Institute in a report provided 50 damning reasons the trump administration is bad for workers.
In summary, the administration has systematically promoted the interests of corporate executives and shareholders over those of working people and failed to protect workers’ safety, wages, and rights.

:lol Losing Arizona outright and leading in Texas by less than 4 points but finds it hard to believe he's losing ground in other places.

pollsters learned their lessons and separate non college from college white folks, there's no third party to siphon votes, and you won't get the blacks in Michigan and NC to stay home like you did in 2016. However if once again the polls are on the wrong side of the MOE than I can see trump only being down 5% which may be enough to get the SC involved in the fix.

Even then Biden ought to be able to squeek in. Not counting national poll lead. Biden is up 7 points on average on the 3 main states he needs to win anyways. Let's give trump room to improve 50%. He'd still be a good 3 and a half points off.

Another thing the pollsters might not be picking up on is increased turnout from a group of older millennials and younger gen Xers (ie people in their 30s) who have historically been politically disengaged. These are well educated people who are successful professionals and don’t spend a great deal of time following politics (aren’t consistent voters at all), but they plan to vote this time just because they find Trump annoying. They don’t know the first thing about Trump and they might even be doing fine economically, but they’re tired of turning the news on and seeing story after story of Trump acting an ass. A lot of my friends are people I’d put in this category.

Biden leads Trump by 17 points as election race enters final stage
The 17-point gap is even bigger than than 57%-41% margin found by CNN earlier this month. It is just short of the lead in the popular vote that Ronald Reagan enjoyed in his second landslide victory in 1984.

I don't think it's the exact same playbook; but it's the same scammers.
In 2016, they tightened the polls to save some face (even in the event that Hillary barely won).
This time around they may not bother to tighten the polls.
I think they're going with a hardcore bluff to try to get voters to fold.
They've pushed all their chips into the middle. And if it doesn't work, they have little left to work with in 2020.

national polls had hillary winning by a few points, and she indeed won the national vote by a few points. those polls were largely accurate tbh.
the state polls were further off

Worth mentioning also since MAGAtards are ignoring it, the pollsters are weighing education this year when they didn't weigh education at all in 2016. The polls were off because they were overpolling educated white people and underpolling the Chris/Nathan uneducated incel crowd :lol
