Shakur's attorney (Michael Warren) claimed to be "ecstatic" that the rap star had been acquitted on the more serious charges, but quickly added that the defense would appeal the one guilty verdict. One of the grounds for an appeal had been given to the defense several hours before the verdict was reached when James revealed to the court and defense counsel that the prosecution had inadvertently withheld evidence from the defense—photographs of the victim's chest taken the day after the alleged attack had been misfiled and were not found until the morning of the disclosure. While withheld evidence is often sufficient grounds to move for a mistrial, the defense decided to wait until the verdict was announced before determining what action to take.

And if Michael Warren did ask for a mistrial after the verdict was given, what became of that appeal?

Seriously, not trolling.
You rappers / those who followed the story have no take?
Seems super odd a mistrial would be handed him on a platter and that is the last we hear of it.

No one cares. Let the dead rapist rest.

I guess not.
Altho if some new movie came out or Tupacs lost tapes were *discovered* they would sell out.
Not so much a matter of caring now, more like surely some STs rappers and/or legal minds must have followed this back in the day.
It's like most of us could answer questions accurately about the OJ trial.
