I don't know about how good or bad Ty Lue is as a coach, but I do know that both Kyrie and Lebron bailed on his ass. I mean Lebron has carried a lot of scrub coaches to the finals before (Mr. Potato and Blatt come to mind) and it took both Lebron and Kyrie going supernova to win against Golden St. The two combined for like 86 points or something ridiculous in game 7, not really much coaching going on there other than the Doug Collins approach.

But it is interesting that both Kyrie and Lebron had an opportunity for Lue to coach them again and they both said Hell No. Lue is going to coddle Kawhi. He is going to continue to be Uncle Dennis' whipping boy. But he's the perfect coach for that since that was his role in Cleveland. It's just up to Kawhi to hold up his end of the bargain. No more game 7 collapses from Kawhi. Lue won't lose you any series, but he isn't going to win them either

Nah, the 2016 win was more to do with Lebron and Kyrie combining for 82 points one game. And then the next game Lebron scores another 41 points. Little to do with Ty Lue.
