View Full Version : Who is the Spur player you want gone most next year

So were talking about the draft and it got me thinking of who do you most want gone next year. I am not saying what do you think we could get for them but if you could get rid of any player on the Spurs who would it be (contract does not need to be ending).

I am leaving of Forbes and Beli because I think those would get the most votes and there have been reports of Beli already saying he was leaving.

Forbes. You rig a poll so that the two highest likely vote getters aren’t included? You might as well change the poll to who do you want gone third most next year.

If I already knew the answer why would I ask the question. It would be posing a Poll when we drafted Tim who do you want to draft this year. You post polls to find answers of how people feel.

Forbes easily, don't care where he signs this summer as long as it ain't San Antonio.

DeRozan. It would be impossible to advance far in the playoffs with him, he's overpaid for the results he produces, and he takes away minutes from KJ and Walker. Let him be a #3 option on another team so the Spurs can develop their young players and get ready for the future.

I liked the bubble team without him.

After Forbes and Bellinelli, of course.

LA for me, we were 25th in defensive rating. The center position affects the defense more than any other position and LA is a bad defensive anchor. He had a negative defensive BPM most of his career. Hard for a lineup to succeed without a good defensive anchor.

LA’s actually pretty good when the right players are on the floor. When he spends all his time covering for weak perimeter players, not so much.

I can live with DePression still here since it likely means he just declined his opt-out and the Spurs couldn't find a trade so are stuck with him one more year. But Forbes? That would mean they signed that pos to a long term deal. God I hope not.

I almost put him on there but wanted to stick with players.

LMA. DDR will fit it pretty well if he doesn’t have to play with Forbes and Murray all the time, just give him decent guards that can shoot and play D and he’ll deliver like he did in the bubble

You realize he played with Murray in the bubble right?

Well you can say Murray was in the bubble but I don’t know if what he did in the bubble would be recognized as “played” cause he was terrible and probably cost us two games.

He played well despite Murray. Replace him with an NBA caliber player and who knows what could’ve happened.

Everyone who all of a sudden likes DeRozan now is reading too much into the bubble. All seeds were already set except 8 and 9, so for most teams the bubble was just a preseason. Please don't tell me you guys think the Suns are an elite team because they went 8-0 in the bubble or the Spurs were really a playoff quality team because they went 5-3. The bubble was just an exhibition season to get almost 3/4 of the teams to 70 games played so they could protect TV revenue. That Blazers team that looked like they were red hot in that preseason got dispatched pretty quickly by the Lakers once the games actually started meaning anything. I know we're all excited about Keldon Johnson looking great in the bubble but then don't forget how amazing Samaki Walker looked in the 1999-00 preseason.

An extremely stupid list of options. Too many to be exact. Forbes is the most obvious choice.

Its not an incomplete list as it mentions why they are left off of there. they were left off for a reason. You dont do a Poll for something you already know the answer to.

This poll reminds me of political polls or a research study that is trying to create a specific conclusion rather than the truth. The choices are asked in such a way to create a specific outcome. Forbes is the answer by over 90%.

100% on the spot. I also really liked that squad. Not sure tho that it would work long term. LA as we all know... can be a beast when properly motivated. The trick would be to convince him to be a role player of the highest kind for the success of the team. Doubt Pop (D-Tx) gives a shit these days.

Forbes and Aldridge. I知 sick of Forbes getting abused on the defensive end. I知 sick of Forbes getting into his Forbsie zone jacking up bricks and clapping his hands. I知 sick of Forbes pouting after he turns the ball over or commits dumb fouls while Pop stares at him admiring his fight. I知 sick of Aldridge being a black hole on offense and passing the ball similar to a small child. I知 sick of seeing Aldridge run up and down the court looking like Steven Seagal.
