First of all the voting process was simplified, to the point where shady behavior was accepted. Secondly Vote initiative was shoved in everyone's face 24/7 and lastly many areas sent out ballots even to those that did not request. I for one did not request a mail in ballot here in California but it arrived.

I still think Georgia is a pink, not purple, state going forward, with Biden's victory there a sort of one-off type event, similar to Obama winning Indiana in 2008 thanks to astronomical black turnout and mediocre white/GOP turnout in such parts there back then.

Georgia will vote GOP comfortably in both senate seats. Blacks and young hippie liberals don't show out nearly as much for runoffs and midterms like they do in the general election (leap) years, especially with someone polarizing like Trump on the ballot.
