With these 3 guys given QO it seems like there is no roster space for Forbes.

If u don't think Pop will sit Devin's ass down in the G League and start forbes for a whole new season right along with DeMar and Lamarcus, u haven't been watching... The fact that we have made no trades isn't surprising, but it's very disheartening... Once again they're outsmarting themselves... Tim Duncan really carried this franchise and made them seem way smarter than they really were

You say that like it's a bad thing. In the immortal words of Dennis Hopper, "It's just too much pressure, man. Let's have a drink." (I don't know if Hopper ever said that, but he should have.)

I hope Vassell really is a guy who will go to the floor after loose balls. Better still, I hope he's a guy who will spit in Pop's eye and defend his teammates. Otherwise, he's just a Forbes upgrade - if he can knock down the 3 ball at the next level.

If the Spurs can win 50 games by being boring, I'm all for it. But just being boring is wearing a bit thin.

I think the Spurs tell him to look elsewhere in the beginning but I would get VERY worried if we go 3 days into free agency and he is not signed...Pop will absolutely bring him back and make some other player "prove" they are better than him to take his playing time...

This team will be very boring next year and will finish around .500. And the 2022 season will be an absolute disaster after we sign a bunch of horrible overpriced contracts and finish well under .500

Nothing wrong with drinking to excess. This night has led me to do the same. I'm not against the pick. I'm disappointed there were not trades to try and clarify the roster and the direction of the team. We all knew the trade talk and buzz was going to be a letdown, but it's still a letdown.

Don’t think they’re two way offers. Eubanks’s can’t be, he used up his two years on the two way.

I was pretty sure he was gone when he didn’t play a minute in the bubble.

Eubanks did play in the bubble, which was last season, and on the second year of his two way contract. Even if he wanted to, he can’t sign another one with us. His QO must be an NBA contract.

Don’t think they’re two way offers. Eubanks’s can’t be, he used up his two years on the two way.

Weatherspoon's unambiguously is. That doesn't mean they won't sign him to a contract instead, but his QO guarantee is only $50k, and that IF he signs it. And if he does sign it, it would be a two-way deal.

Eubanks' deal is indeed a one-year real contract, but it's about $80k guaranteed. If he signs, it, he'd be on the roster.

My point wasn't so much that they could not be on the big club or whatever. It was that the Spurs could easily cut them due to their low guarantees. If PATFO for some effing reason thought Bryn was worth another contract, eating less than $100k wouldn't stop them.

Yea, we’re supposed to have all this money next summer right?? I’m not very confident that FA are gonna wanna come here. San Antonio isn’t a lot of other nba cities and then there’s playing for pop and his difficult system (I’m sure he’ll still be here). I just don’t see players lined up to come here and sign.

Agree. It was mostly all Tim. and some credit should go to Drob for helping a young Tim out and showing him what a good teammate and superstar attitude. I didn’t truly understand how much was Tim until he left but there were plenty of signs when looking back at...quite a bit of issues with pop started showing there head about a decade ago and just got worse as he got older...and then were exacerbated by Tim leaving and not being there to offset pop.

Agree with the stars not wanting to come to SA. However, we aren’t in a rebuild imo and I don’t think pop wants to be in a rebuild. We’ll sign older players with that free cash. May even trade out younger players to get older players. I don’t at all believe pop truly thinks he’s rebuilding now and don’t think he’ll change his mind when DDR and LMAs contracts are up. If he did he would’ve already traded DDR, LMA, gay and mills

I never thought Pop was amazing starting from day 1. Just look at how the Spurs offense for like 8 year was just dump the ball into Duncan in the post and get the hell out of the way. Not difficult to come up with that scheme. Even the defense schemes I thought was overrated. Not hard to have a great defense when you have Duncan/Robinson manning the paint and then later on Duncan/Bowen. Pop lucked out in having the ultimate cheat code in Duncan. He was free to make a lot of stupid mistakes but was still able to win due to Duncan's greatness.

He also lucked out that Duncan wasn't the typical superstar. The average superstar like Lebron could not be coached by Pop long term without getting him fired. Pop's yelling and stubbornness would get to them.

They have Early Bird Rights on this fuggut and they can CHOOSE to pay the Luxury Tax to keep his ass....

To be clear, he's been with the team 4 consecutive years. We don't have "Early Bird Rights", we have full "Bird Rights"... We can put a max in front of him. I don't think we are going to sign him at all though. He can play at either the 1 or the 2 slot, and we have so many players who can play there already : Murray (1&2), White(1&2), Weatherspoon(1&2), Mills(1&2), Jones (1), Vassell (2), Walker (2), Johnson (2), Derozan (2)... I think the nightmare might be over guys; it's pretty probable Forbes is a Spur no longer.

Good luck Bryn. Will always remember Gm 7 against the Nugs. He really competed and made the most of his opportunities.
