According to the Spurs official website, it's Michael Finley?

When did THIS happen, and is this correct?

Tim's name is right by Fin's. Maybe they got the C on the wrong line?

Finley was captain in Dallas but I thought Timmy D was team captain of the Spurs.

Good question to ask on the Pop Show I guess.

Wait guys! I am pretty sure Timmy is the captain. I haven't seen Fin in any of the captain/ ref meetings. Have you?

I'm sure it's just an error. Tim has to be the captain.

I could see Fin being given a co-captain type of title, but Tim has to be the man.

Yeah its a mistake it has to be, Duncan is clearly the leader and captain of the team.

I just think it's a typo.

The Spurs don't usually indicate the captains on their roster listing. So that C was probably just next to Finley's name when they moved him over from the Mavs.

I read one article last year that Tim Duncan is the captain of this team.

i don't think the arrival of Mike Finley in S.A. merits any demotion of the team's star and MVP.

maybe Kori is right.

I think you are in Argentina so I understand, but Tony is also a captain of this team and meets at center court before every game with the officials and the team captains. It's been that way for now 3 seasons.

Teams CAN have multiple captains.

That said, it doesn't make sense to make Finley a capt. yet.

(Unless you mean Pirate Captain.... YARG!)

Rose was never a team captain-- sorry. People thought he should be but he wasn't.

It kind of makes sense that the point guard is a co captain cause he runs a lot of the plays.

^^ I think it's been that way since Tony's 2nd year in the league. But the Spurs don't really acknowledge captains (no C's on the jerseys or the roster listings) so I think it's just a formality.

I don't know. Timmy is shy and likes to do instead of talk. He might prefer someone like Horry or Bowen do it.

Tim doesn't like attention..
