during Senate debate to establish a Smithsonian National Museum of the American Latino in Washington, D.C.,

Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee railed against its creation by suggesting

“that Latinos were not subjected to systemic racism :lol or erasure of their history.” :lol

Then he erased the museum that would document their history.

Lee single-handedly blocked the measure,

along with a second measure to establish an American Women's History Museum,

when legislators tried to pass the bipartisan bills through voice vote on Thursday.

“The legislation has overwhelming support in the Senate and passed the House of Representatives unanimously,”

America is so fucked up, so broken that it allows the minority rule.

The FUCKING Senate is a national disgrace and disaster.

This was an unanimous consent agreement proposal, so yes.

It passed unanimously in the House. Lee was the only nay in the Senate.
