Hadn't seen this topic but if it's out there please ignore. Anyway, what do you think will happen? Realizing each team/city are going by their individual rules will Covid be a huge impact? I hope not. I also hope fans are allowed to start coming in hopefully soon. Assuming everything is back to normal I say:

Unfortunately Covid will unnecessarily be an issue.

Spurs 44-28. Lose to GSW which will upset Denver. Spurs lose but a win for progress. LMA gets traded for peanuts. Devin 3rd in ROY rankings. Pop retires at the end of this season.

Denver, Lakers, Mavs, Clippers, Spurs(5th), Jazz, GSW, Port/Grizz
Bucks, Nets, Boston, Pacers, 76rs, Heat, Orl/Knicks/Pistons

Nets will win it probably over the bitch-ass lakers. Durant FMVP.

Luka MVP. Greek Freak DMVP. Obi ROY. Nash COY.

I'll say 36-36, mostly because DeRozan is in a contract year. Clippers win the title. Davis MVP.

Prediction: Pop will trade Devin for Forbes by midseason. Retrun of the prodigal son.

i think injuries and COVID are going to make this a hard season to handicap but if i had to just go on the assumption that it all equals out i would have the spurs coming in somewhere around where they were last season or a bit lower (10 or 11th in the west) with a slightly under .500 record.

Spurs finish 10th in the west, if they're lucky. 12th or 13th is probably more likely (I hope)

Dame wins MVP. Lakers cruise to a repeat.

Popovich retires after the Olympics, finally.

Popovich acolyte, Bud, wastes another year of Giannis dominance and flames out the Bucks in the second round, again.

The season goals are twofold. Move vets for something without taking back significant long term salary. Develop the young core as much as possible, especially after all star break. Everything else is just chatter.

Spurs 11th in West. Bucks in a shocker win title.

- Boogie and John Wall pair great together, Harden fakes injury and sits out the year or gets a trade to Philly or whatever

- Portland/Utah look like they usually do and go out in the 2nd round

- Denver makes the WCF (again?), Loses again due to LakerRef. Denver reminds me of the 2002 Kings. Good enough but not from a favored big market, so refs kill them every time they get close to the finals

- Porzingis injures himself again, Mavs flounder again around 5-8 seed and go out in round 1

- Clips implode mid season. Kawhi gets injured due to playing more than 50% of his games

- Lakers win the title easily again since NBA wants LeBron to be considered GOAT to try and revive the league's relevance

- Golden Showers miss the playoffs again (battle the Kings/Suns all season for 8, Suns make the playoffs). Curry fakes an ankle injury (or minor injury) and sits out / begins to look disinterested. Draymond begins to be annoying to the locker room, especially with no true alpha there. Wiggins traded by the deadline due to locker room cancer / poor effort / poor fit on the team. Probably traded for a shooter.

- Spurs :lol who cares

forgot the lEast

- Wizards looks good w/Russy, Beal and our boi Bert. They are 4-6 seed

- Durant is a shell of his former self, Kyrie injured again midway through. Nets ousted in the 1st round of playoffs

- Heat struggle. Butler's personality weighs on the locker room. Duncan Robinson / Tyler Herro fail to recreate the bubble magic. Since it's the lEast they easily make the playoffs but somewhere in the bottom of the bracket.

- Celtics look their usual and fail in the 2nd round again (Portland East basically)

- Sixers underwhelm again. 3-4 seed but no killer instinct, still no shooting in key situations. Raptors or Sixers lose to Bucks in the ECF

- Bucks easily run away with the conference. Giannis gets exposed in the playoffs again by 1 of Boston, Miami, any of the top West teams, etc. Next year Giannis will start to get upset at the lack of supporting cast / true 2nd banana (Middleton is a 3rd banana a la Ray Allen)

- Rando teams like Pacers, Hawks, Magic look ok but no one cares

MVP: Westbrook, Giannis or Donovan Mitchell (who goes full Regular Season Harden)

If by swapping Wall for him they make the playoffs as a 3-4 seed with 45-50 wins, sure why not. He would get some votes. Especially if he averages close to a trip dub, which he could with our boi Bert droppin' them 3 bombs. Beal also a very capable shooter, especially if the defense gets broken down by Westbrook's penetration. In the East, stats get inflated big time. Remember, DeRozan was an MVP candidate out there.

C'mon now... DeRozan wasn't a serious contender by a long shot. He finished 8th in the MVP race in the '17-'18 season with 32 voting points. Harden won with 965, LeBron got 738, and Anthony Davis 445.

But he dropped 30 points a game out there. If he can do it with all those 360 layups, imagine what attacking Westbrook will do against the likes of Aaron Gordon, Brook Lopez, John Collins. He will have to shoot against Bam and the Heat, Giannis' Bucks, and maybe the Pacers, but that's about all the challenges he will face. He would probably want to posterize Embiid and his big mouth too.

Any clue why this came out today?

Because this guy is an idiot, apparently.

Nets already made a big deal of signing Steve Nash, and the season starts today.

Oh, and there has been absolutely zero reports from interest on Pop's side for leaving, let alone to go deal with Kyrie and KD.

Really sad that Yahoo thinks this actually constitutes a story.

Covid-21 Mutation will hit and cases will increase until Biden starts to do a lockdown just like Europe. Nobody will be able to work so they will have to sign up for the new universal basic income provided by the state. To be a part
of that program you will need to take the DNA changing vaccine and will have to sign off all of your assets to the government. Everybody who doesn’t take the vaccine won’t be able to travel or work anywhere and will be labeled as a risk for public health.. Covid will go on until 2028. Somewhere in between 2021 and 2028 a nuclear war between USA and Iran/North Korea will take place so that they can take over those 2 national banks and have a world crypto coin which will be mined with a microchip in your body. The USA will lose its status as ruling state of the world and Israel will conquer territory from Nile to Euphrates to build Great Israel. Then they will restore the temple of Solomon on the temple mountain and summon the anti christ. They will then put up a 5G hologram of him in the air which will be seen all over the world and he will speak to people’s minds and tell them he’s God. All the dumbos will accept him as that and than the giant Alien Invasion Hologram will take place to finish off the plan for the 1 world government. It’s then when they will fail.

As for the NBA the 2020/21 season will stop in February due to a lockdown. Flopovich will pass away from the vaccine just like a bunch of other people. The season will be finished in the 2024 NBA Bubble where DJ still can’t dribble, Luka weighs 250 pounds and Big Body Keldon will be Giannis 2.0. The Spurs will win the championship beating 40-year old LeBron again in the WCF.

Skimming that quickly, at first glance I thought it said "Allen Iverson" Hologram...
