As a Spurs fan, do you prefer to watch a game where your team wins by a last second shotor when they win by a blow out just straight trample the other team?

Close games. THAT means they are sharpening the skills they are going to need when the real season starts. Pop said the same thing during his last show. "Blowouts don't teach us anything"...or something very similar to that.

IMO nothing is accidental; these games are close for a reason. Friday will be a blowout if possible, to rest the guys for Saturday.

Blow out. I get to nervous watching the Spurs, better to just blow them away from the get-go.

I loved close games when Reggie was playing, but now I dont like close games at all. Maybe Saras can erase that fear. :)

close games are the best, a blowout is like figuring out the plot have way through the movie. why in the world would you want to watch a blowout unless it Spurs over the Lakers

Oh, Gee!!

I like both. I like when they blowout teams like the Lakers, T-Wolves, the Heat, and so on. I don't mind close games once in a while to other teams. Its interesting at times.

Blow out no matter who they are playing.

From a fan POV - blowout. It's fucking nerve wracking watching important close games. As a fan, I'm never comfortable until we have a 20 point lead.

Now from a basketball POV - close games. They are more exciting and interesting to watch, you get more classic moments and more time with my favorite players. Unless he's in foul trouble they're going to keep Timmy in during a close game, whereas if we are down to 8 in the fourth with a 25 point lead, we get the scrubs. Which is fine, but I don't get to see every game, I'd rather see Timmy.

The most comfortable game is an important game in which we have a 8-12 point lead, but you always know they can come back really quickly if you are not paying attention.

Me too. I just can't watch Spurs' close games - be it a pre/regular season or playoffs. I just can't.

The best games are those where the Spurs are losing by 20(ex: @ Phoenix last January)and someone like Ginobili comes out to be the hero and win the game.
The first 5 games of this year are boring(sure I enjoy them)but the Spurs are clearly
getting accustomed to themselves and the rotations and are basically are still playing their preseason games, until December when they play the Pacers,Pistons,Heat, they will start playing more jelled up,team basketball. At this moment its the Timmy & Tony Show (Where's Manu?)

I love a close game as long as the Spurs are not involved.
Spurs in a route always feels nice. I like the seeing Spurs
firing on all cylinders. If the Spurs could do that every
game would be a blowout.

I prefer a good old fashioned blowout, but I don't mind an occasional nail-biter.

Blowouts by your favorite team are more enjoyable if you watch to be entertained.

With that said, I am a competitive soul by nature and there is a certain rush that comes from close games, particularly with two closely matched teams playing. If the team I like is playing a bad team and the game is close because of poor play and the bad team is "junking it up", it is NOT enjoyable and extremely frustrating. Blogging or going and doing something else with my time are suitable methods of handling those types of games.

I like wins with no injuries. Close games and blowouts both count the same in the standings.

Blowouts are obviously nice to watch:) However, the close games make it nerve wrecking and build the excitement... :)

For me it all depends. I love close GOOD games that the Spurs win. (example: the overtime game against the Suns where Manu scored 48) By good I mean competitve, both teams playing well. If both teams are playing sloppy and like crap than I dont like it. But, there are times when I do like blow outs. If its a team that has been talking alot of mess, or a team that is perceived as "better" than the Spurs, or a game that is considered a "statement" game, than I love to blow them out. (example: the second game of the first round)

I guess for me its not about the game being close, or being a blowout. Its about how SA is playing. If they play the way they can play, than I am happy. Blowouts are always great, but sometimes the close games are the best (see game five of the Finals)!

For me, the best sort of game is the perfectly shown by the Pheonix Suns vs Spurs overtime game in the regular season - you were worried the spurs were gonna get blown out, but they came back behind Manus huge night, some huge 3's by brent and the 2nd team getting it done. To go from being blown out, to overtime, to winning - that is how a game should be :) Sure, you would probably get quite a few gray hairs, but damn - its exciting!

blowouts.

Close games like games in the playoffs make me sick to my stomach.

Especially like games 6 against Seattle, Game 7 Vs Detroit, games 1,2,5 VS Phoenix.

Hell being a Spurs fan it's even hard for me to watch a game where we have a 20+ pt lead sometimes. The 2003 playoffs screwed me up for good. :lol

Close games.

Tied for the whole game and then someone goes crazy.

These types are fun and take some years out of your life.
