Has anyone here ever used a moving service in SA before? I am moving next month and was considering just paying movers instead of doing it all myself. Its only going to be like 5-10 miles from where I am now, and all I want them to move is the big stuff (Beds, pool table, entertainment center, washer/dryer, etc.) Does anyone know of good movers, and how much should I anticipate spending? Thanks.

I think it's worth the effort if you have a lot of big stuff. Look for coupons!

Most importantly, though, and I can't emphasize this enough ... make sure they have INSURANCE....most will advertise that they do.

We lost about $1800 worth of curved glass in a move once and they conveniently dropped off the face of the earth. :flipoff

Oh, and don't tell them that you need to hurry and GTFO of there before your homicidal ex-girlfriend shows up with automatic weapons.

They won't show up. :nerd :lol

I think for the right price you could round up the SpursTalk I Need Money Moving Team....

I've done it in Dallas several times. It was about $300 to move Bed, Big Screen, Dresser, Coffee Table, Couches, Big tubs full of stuff, etc (all the big items).

It is a little more I'm sure if you have a pool table and stuff.

Make sure you tip them and give them some beer and they'll do a great job.
