I don't know about Chinese proverbs or what was discussed at the gtg, but I don't get it either. Don't you only get up once for every time you fall down?

It's kinda like falling down and learning why you fell down... then finally getting up and staying up.

Think about "If you fall off a horse, get back on." Chances are you'll fall off quite a few times, but eventually you'll stay on.

Part of the commercial I don't like is the part of the close up where he stares into the camera and stands up. Looks as cheap as Converse. I actually like the bass line music.

It's just a numbers thing... there is no significance to falling down 7 times and getting up 7 times... but when they see fall 7 get up 8 they thank "wow, how philosophical"
