My observations:

- Vassell was the first player off the bench.
Having youth, length, and switch-ability on the perimeter was a joy to see in the 1st quarter. Vassell came in for Lonnie, then Lonnie in for Keldon. Was disappointed to see Pop went away from this rotation to start the 3rd q.

- Hair trigger Patty.
Patty has been money from the arc to start the season. I disagree with some of the shots he takes only because A) no one else is involved in the Play, and B) if he misses, it usually leads to an easy basket down the other end. On nights like tonight though, you realise what a dynamite scorer he can be. You have to live with a little bad (when he has it going like this), but let’s be honest, the ratio was like 10:1.

- DJs response.
Followed up his worst game of the season with one of his best. He was a dominant force on both sides of the ball in the first half.
Really solid game for Him. Love the no hesitation 3s too.

- Playing fast and loose.
What a joy to see the young guns get up and down the court.
An and-1 for Lonnie off a slick drop back pass from Dejounte, a coast to coast layup and-1 for DJ etc. When the team has fun, it shows.
Great to see them get reward for a stellar defensive effort to start the game, even if that effort trailed off. Something to build on.

- DDR passing up 3s.
Hasn’t been an issue to start the season but it was there tonight. Have to let it fly to keep the defence honest at times.
