its on the official SOS website. but would appear to be a bizarre way to get first word out. best guess is hack or somebody getting fired soon, as the bio is otherwise completely empty

https://www.state.gov/biographies/donald-j-trump/Yeah, that's a weirdly specific resignation time (GMT? The future?) unless there is some special signifiQance of which I am unaware.

Were there two coups on Jan 6th?

If Trump isn't calling the shots in the West Wing, who is?

Has Donald Trump resigned?

DONALD TRUMP has just days left of his presidency but

a recent change to the US Department website has seen

people ask whether the President has left his post early.

Has Donald Trump resigned?

What incentive would Trump have to resign? Doesn't he forfeit all of the post-Presidential benefits if he does? (Pension, SS protection, etc.?)

Even without all that, resignation is an admission of defeat. He'd sooner swallow a bottle of cyanide pills.

He can still run in 2024 though if he's not convicted, right? Plus he can throw one of his usual rightwing pity parties.

That's possible but even Trump can't think a resigning president is a viable candidate four years later. Of course, he could always run to fundraise off rubes.

he resigns, Pres Penice pardons him, 74M cult mob stays loyal, Trash freezes out all challengers, runs in 2024.

It's on the states to bury this criminal, sicko mofo.

Why? Are the deplorables going to become sane in four years?

True, but Diaper Don might still be scared. Not going to be a lot of public support for him right now from congress so he won't really know until the trial has started.

Yeah that would be a decent plan.

He has 4 years to stand up his 24 MAGA channels and social media sites and apps tbqh

Factor a decent percentage of them becoming jaded by his folding and throwing them under the bus after the Jan 6 riot, plus pretty much all moderate republicans and independents. He'll still have his cult but it will dwindle substantially in the next 4 years. Especially if he resigns before JFK, Jr. can ride in on his magical unicorn to unmask the global liberal crime ring.

He can run as a third party and fuck the republican party even more.

That'd be sweet. Trump is no longer a serious candidate.

If he runs he'd probably get 35-40 million votes. He's not going to sniff 60-70 like the last two times.

Hopefully his family members run as third party Senate candidates in states with tight races.

To add to this, there's a sizeable chunk of his crowd that are political bandwagoners. They're not going to back a loser.

I think you overestimate how many moderate Republicans there are.

Seeing as how he lost both Arizona and Georgia I say it mattered a lot. Old Joe got Texas a couple of points closer as well.

Time to stop pretending Trump matters anymore. He’s no good to republicans.
