2) They had an easier schedule this year.

Forgot the SB was in Tampa. Finally gonna see a true home team in the SB.

Except at less than half capacity, though don't count out DeSantis to invoke the 10th Amendment or some shit tbh. I actually wouldn't mind. The Super Bowl is probably the most uniquely American thing in the world and maybe its best. Certainly not the meddling in Iraq and Libya and Syria or wherever.

Even that very last play, the fake QB sneak and pitch to Godwin was all Brady. Didn't even give Rodgers 15-20 seconds for an outside shot at a hail mary or hook and lateral type play.

About half the QB's in the league would have improved them drastically at that position. Deshaun Watson would have made the SB too with that roster and the way the matchups broke down for them.

I have no such hatchet, and I'm not discounting him. They can win it all, and I'd be fine with it because my best friend is a Bucs fan, and they only have one ring 18 years ago.

But I'm simply predicting that either the Bills or Chiefs will beat them.

I like Romo and Melanie Collins, but CBS in general sucks compared to Fox. Jim Nantz is the ultimate bore, the NFL's version of Mike Breen. Doesn't know much about football either.

Also, Tracy Wolfson is their A-team sideline reporter. Melanie Collins is way better and hotter, tbh.

Chiefs wouldn't have gone 14-1 with Watson instead of Mahomes, and wouldn't be a given they would still be alive, tbh.

Swap Mahomes with Watson and the Chiefe go from being the undisputed best team in the league to just another contender. Swap Brady with Watson and the Bucs don't miss a beat. If anything, they probably become a bit better since Watson > Brady right now.

Millennial_Messiah
01-24-2021, 06:50 PM
That's a big kick early in the game, but you won't beat Mahomes with 3 instead of 7. Have to question Sean McDumbass's decision for kicking the FG on 4th and 2 from the +33, but at least for Buffalo they made the kick. If they miss, they give Mahomes the ball at the -41, lol

GB's 1st half defense gave this game away, tbh.

I would say points off of turnovers lost this game.

Packers turned it over 2 times which lead to 14 points for the Bucs. The Packers turned it over with a chance to take the lead.

Meanwhile the Bucs turned it over 3 times and the Packers could over get 7 points off those turnovers. Lots of missed opportunities for the Packers in this game.

TheCultOfPersonality GG :tu

You're right. Points off turnovers is the story of the game. That and the 4th down conversion + hail mary to the end the half. Just a backbreaker. I knew the game would be close in the 2nd half. Even when we were up 18 I didn't feel too comfortable. It'll be discussed to death tonight and tomorrow about going for it on 4th and goal from the 8yd line. I'm of the opinion that you go for that 100 times out of 100. You need a Touchdown. Even after kicking the field goal....you still need a touchdown. Hate the call to kick it there. I know you have all 3 timeouts....but still.

Honestly, it's not even about Mahomes. Kansas City can score and beat you in so many ways. Like I said last week, the Chiefs would have won this game regardless of whether it was Mahomes or Henne at QB today.

I always said it from 2016 and their 12-4 season; "Kansas City Just Keeps Comin'". That game where they were down 17-0 on the road at Carolina in the third quarter and weaseled their way back in metholodically but steadily and won 20-17. That game where Atlanta blew the 28-9 lead at home against KC, where Eric Berry got a pick six AND a pick two in the same game. (A foreshadowing of Atlanta in that upcoming super bowl; side note.) Kansas City never quits, dies, or loses big games because of their fantastic scheme. Only the GOAT has been able to take down the Reid Chiefs in big games.

Kansas City just keeps coming. #KCJustKeepsComing . They just "find ways to win". No matter what. It's not about the QB. It's about the system. Let that set in.

I don't disagree. But until Mahomes beats Brady in the Super Bowl, Brady is still my QB1 in the NFL. Rodgers is like Peyton Manning, just another great regular season QB who comes up short when it matters most; won one SB very early in his career with an uncapped salary roster full of defensive superstars on mercenary (one year, big money) type contracts.

Millennial_Messiah
01-24-2021, 08:21 PM
Also KC's tendency to play conservatard football in second halves has almost led to their demise all season long, especially second half of the season. They're a far cry from the 2018 team that just blew everyone out. They are vulnerable with that type of lead in the second half. I wouldn't be surprised if KC didn't score many points the rest of the game.

Buffalo's defense is just atrocious. They got way too much credit for beating a one dimensional offense last week. But it doesn't take much brainpower to realize that Jaffar Abdur-Rauf is a gimmick that will come and go just like his predecessor RG3 and be riding the pine or out of the league in a few years.

Neither of those were with Mahomes.

Atlanta game this year, Carolina game this year (really all 4 NFC South games), plenty of examples this year alone, they just get too cocky and too conservative with the lead.

They should have been blitzing Mahomes and seeing how healthy that toe really is.

Just giving him 7 yard passes to Kelce all night was such a retarded choice.

Millennial_Messiah

Also Spagnuolo playing soft "bend but don't break defense" is retarded when your objective is to win TOP with Mahomes by as much as possible.

What's the alternative? Play single high/man robber to stop the tight end and allow deep shots all game on one-on-one to Hill and the other fast WRs?

Yeah. Which furthers the case for guys like Mahomes, Brady and even Wilson for having done so much despite mostly having below average to bad offensive lines throughout their careers. As opposed to Rodgers, Prescott, Big Rape, and Brees who have always had top-tier offensive lines, maybe with a couple exceptions like this year in Dallas where all 3 pro bowlers went down on the OL

If it's ruptured he'll miss a good chunk of next season too.

With both OTs out (really the best 2 players on the O-Line), I don't see that ragged OL holding up against the ferocious pass rush in Tampa tbh. Barrett/JPP/Vea/White/David etc are monsters and KC might actually be stymied on offense in the SB because not enough time to throw.

Indeed. Individual players made their share of mistakes, but what a shitshow from the coaches. No offensive or defensive game plans or adjustments, and kicking FGs inside the 10 when you're down by two scores against the Chiefs in the AFCCG. They coached scared, and the players played scared. Everyone on the team has a lot to learn, but there's no denying they put together a great season (probably overachieved by a game), and need to improve if they want to beat the best team in the league.

yeah it's too bad that the Bills resurgence coincides with a potential dynasty in the making.
