Remember when people said give Trump credit for operation war speed? :lol

Biden is not really home free. They have to come up with the actual reserved vaccine the Trump admin was supposed to have.

He’s apparently already pissed off at his COVID team for not working hard enough and has been riding their ass to speed things up getting ready to takeover. Would have never expected this much from Biden.

If Biden has us at a point where we’re almost back to normal life by ‘22 midterms, those aren’t going to be fun elections for Republicans :lol

Johnson & Johnson data will be out soon. Three vaccines and Spring weather should lower mortality significantly

The J&J vaccine just having one dose will make a huge difference too. Hopefully the data will show its as effective as the other two.

Theres also a recent encouraging study from Israel that people who’ve gotten both Pfizer doses are not only immune but 98% likely to be unable to even spread the virus.

I've got my fingers crossed for that J&J vaccine. This two-dose rollout is a nightmare

Fucking Americans always hand the keys back to the GOP as soon as the Democrats drag the nation out of whatever crisis the Republicans put them in though.

Pretty much. At least down here in LA, housing prices clearly do no reflect this supposed mass migration out of the State.

In 2010 we were still in horrible economic shape because Obama/Reid let the tea party obstruct any significant economic stimulus that would have actually jump started recovery. It was still retarded for people to revote the party of recessions back into power 2 yrs after they’d been voted out, but the Dems brought it on themselves by spending 2 yrs getting nothing done other than Bob Dole’s healthcare plan.

Obama was also completely arrogant about how he handled midterms, he did nothing to help keep the DNC funded and did no coordinating with the DNC on messaging/campaigning. He kept a campaign apparatus that was separate from the DNC. It’s why you saw Democrats try to distance themselves from the ACA they had just passed, and it’s why the DNC was so broke/dysfunctional in 2016.

Biden to his credit is doing the reverse and is already working with the DNC to plan for midterms/helping to raise money.

Most people here probably are. That was over 40 years ago. The GOP and Democrat party are very different now.

Shouldn’t be a surprise why millennials and Gen Zers don’t vote Republican when the last example you can cite of a Democrat and not a Republican overseeing a shitty economy is from over 40 yrs ago.

And if you're talking about the Iranian hostage crisis, that was ended by Jimmy Carter while he was still President.

Watergate was the crisis he inherited. The stagflationary trend preceded Carter by 2-3 years. Carter didn't take us off the gold standard, cause two energy price shocks or impose Phillips curve orthodoxy on the Fed.

Well, unless you argue that UHaul data paints the whole picture, not sure how much validity I can give that.

Thanks. This year particularly with a bunch of tech people working from home makes sense, tbh... housing prices and rent are crazy high here. We know Austin has been reaping the benefit for a while now.

That said, as the article and the population growth year over year points out, this is far from a trend, at least now.

I mean, frankly, I'd love if more people moved out, would just make things like housing relatively affordable. It just hasn't happened.

The other big plus for the JnJ vaccine is the storage requirement. 36 to 46 degrees F
