Can’t help but feel DDR getting a raw deal here, listed as a ‘Guard’ on the Vote in Ballot.

Not sure he makes it regardless, but still the competition at Guard is ridiculous.
He’s clearly a 3 now, has been since he arrived in SA.

Competition at forward is even worse....he ain't gonna make it over Lebron, Davis, Kawhi, George, Jokic, KAT...I'm sure I am missing others.

He is better off competing against the guards to be honest. The fact is...the West is stacked.

DDR deserves an All-Star spot for his play so far...but it's going to have to be a coaches decision, and the Spurs are gonna have to be deep in the playoff race for that to happen.

I thought at least with an additional Front court spot (in both starter and reserve criteria), he may be a chance to sneak in with a coach’s vote.
Not sure KAT makes it based on record and games missed. The other guys you mentioned are locks, no doubt about it.

NBA has a list that includes Ingram, Zion, Morant, and without Demar? And that 82nd rank? It's just disrespect

Demar is gonna be beasting to show them. Let's go Demar!

West All-star Predictions:

G Steph Curry
G Luka Doncic
F LeBron James
F Kawhi Leonard
F Anthony Davis

G Damian Lillard
G Donovan Mitchell
F Nikola Jokic
F Paul George
F Rudy Gobert
WC Ja Morant
WC Devin Booker

DDR is definitely in play and may eke out Donovan Mitchell, Ja Morant or Devin Booker based on team record/play against other Western teams.
Looking forward to see how it develops.

Coaches might/should vote him in. Especially if the records hold, it's impossible to pick players like Morant or Booker over him. Especially Booker, who is just straight up overrated. KAT shouldn't be in the picture. Ingram or Zion shouldn't be in the picture. You need a winning team.

It would be really cool if they doubled the amount of all stars and make 4 teams out of it. 10 man rosters, a mini single elimination tourney with the winner getting ... some reward that's worthy.

There's just too many pretty good players or at least players posting good numbers every year. Even outstanding role players and rookies should get in on it. Just my thoughts.

Looks about right. Obviously Jokic, who should be co-favorite for MVP, along with Embiid (media won't give it to a big though and has already decided they're giving it to James or Durant), should start, but he won't get the fan vote.

Mitchell is a lock due to record and one of Booker/Paul (the former if games played are close) probably are too, leaving one spot for Morant or DeRozan. Ingram/Williamson could also get in the mix if they can get to around .500.

Even though he missed significant time and they did well without him, the perception of the Grizzlies being more reliant on Morant and the Spurs being more of an ensemble cast, gives the former the edge if the records remain close.

East

Starters: F - Durant, Antetokounmpo, Embiid, G - Harden, Young/Irving

Bench locks: Irving/Young, Brown, Tatum, Brogdon/Sabonis, Middleton

On the bubble: Hayward, Sabonis/Brogdon, Adebayo, Butler, Vucevic, Simmons, Beal

DDR seems like a longshot to make the AS Game. I get that he's putting up improved offensive stats, and the AS Game is all about offense, but I don't see much chance he would get in ahead of Morant. Being in SA obviously hurts his chances, but honestly his on-court personality likely doesn't connect with casual fans.
