Not the prettiest of fourth quarters, tbh.

Thanks for the grades Timvp. I think Pop deserves an F for obvious poor rotation. Poeltl is also F for being outplayed, out rebounded out there. Other than that, it was a great effort, just bad coaching tonightZ. We could’ve used Luka and Diop length and athleticism out there. I hope moving forward Pop will reward Luka, Diop and Lyles for their hard work when the starters were out. Luka is a big part of the future, and with Aldridge gone, I think Pop should make the decision to invest in him. I think he has proven himself capable of playing NBA minutes. He is agile to close out and switch, able to hit 3’s and defend and get rebounds. I would like for DJ, Lonnie (a better shooter than White), Demar, Luka and Poeltl starting for better spacing and rebounding. Keldon is a motor guy and could take the Manu role with White, Mills and Vassell.

I hope moving forward Pop will adjust in a more defensive oriented team, less Mills trying to get us back, but more on defense creating offense.

Where the fuck is that picture of Mills guarding Durant? Bc that seems rather appropriate I think

White just couldn't do anything right tonight. Hope he gets into a rhythm, this whole season has been one interruption after the next for White.

I don't even know what to say anymore about the distribution of minutes for a team that has no shot at a championship & promising young guys to develop... 37 minutes for DeRozan and 1 minute for Samanic... sure, why not? Could the 6'10" Samanic possibly slow down Porzingis on the defensive side better than a 6'7" career-long defensive liability like DeRozan? Meh, who cares! Ans while we're at it, let's see how Patty Mills does against Luka Doncic!

Might be one of pop’s worst games coached since before the bubble.

having Mills guarding Luka is just so bad ... but no one else is up to the task either ... Derrick White sucking on offense does not help this starting five

Orlando has given the Spurs loads of trouble over the years tbh. A loss is a real possibility.

Yeah, i can see us losing to Orlando, i can see us losing to anyone tbh and on our day we can beat anyone, that's what treadmill teams do.

That was the most disappointing. We're back to not playing Samanic. And Jones rots on the bench. And, for once, Lonnie needed more minutes.

On Jones, just want to see the young guy get a few few minutes for development purposes.

if Patty sits out some b2b I agree but otherwise I think we have enough young talent that needs to be developed ... I do not know how to carve out meaningful minutes for Tre

This was actually a very winnable game but it was squandered. The rotations were pretty bad but also seemed like the offense bailed the Mavs D out a lot. Was it just me or did it seem like Murray, Gay and Patty would just chuck shots up with plenty of time left in the shot clock? I know those shots work for them but they weren’t falling last night and should have found other ways to score. This is was definitely one of the sorriest losses of the season to me

The spurs needed outside shooting in both the OKC game and this game in the 4th quarter....and Lonnie sits. Stupid move. He was aggressive and feeling it, you stay with the hot hand. KJ and White were not doing much, especially White. Dlissapointing loss, place the blame on Pop for his rotations

With the way the entire team was praising DeMar (including Pop) during post interviews, it sounds like he's here to stay after this season...

Yep, should be an F for Pop between this and the Patty on Luka defensive strategy.

Simulator crew gonna simulate. Who cares if Lonnie was hot, Pop's super duper minutes management spreadsheet said it was time for him to come out.

i personally think this was one of pop's worst coaching jobs of the season. his insistence on keeping patty in there when he was completely overmatched by luka was beyond head-scratching, especially since it likely came at the expense of giving more minutes to walker, who was one of the few spurs that was providing any consistent offense all night. that 0 for 11 stretch in the 4th quarter was as much on pop as it was on anyone else.

I'm starting to swing back the other way in regards to DeMar staying, tbh, especially with the price tag he'll be commanding. With LMA gone, sadly it's looking more and more likely.

Even though it's easy to rationalize, I'm getting really sick of the White rollercoaster.

I realize he can't help the bad luck he's had injury/COVID wise, but he always takes a while to regain his confidence/rhythm and start resembling the player he is at his best. Then after flashes of that, he's inevitably back out the vicious cycle continues.

Though still relatively inexperienced in the NBA, he's too old for this.

Pop was brutal in this game . . .

- Eubanks for no reason. Just play similar sized, more talented Lyles as the nominal backup five for the time being.

- Mills on Doncic was insane.

- The quick hook on Walker IV was too. When he's confident and his shot is on, just ride the wave, especially on a team that labors offensively.

Murray and Johnson were brutal too in terms of decision making, namely shot selection.

In the vid with Rudy he talks about having COVID and how he respects it and how difficult it was to get over it and how more people should respect it.

:lol What people say about a co-worker in a public forum doesn't mean very much. Of course they're going to say nice things. Paul George only said the most complimentary things about Russell Westbrook until he had the chance to go play elsewhere, and then he was like Seeee Yaaaaaaa.....
