For a mild to moderate shoulder sprain or strain, you may be able to return to your normal activities within one to two weeks. Moderate sprains or strains may take as long as six to eight weeks before you can resume day-to-day shoulder activities.

Yeah, that didn't look good. Got hit as he was going up and was in immediate pain. The Spurs calling it a "sprain" already isn't good, either. Hopefully Dieng avoided something serious but a shoulder sprain would likely keep him out a couple weeks at minimum.

To all the posters blaming Pop for a freak contact injury to Dieng....thanks for proving once and for all that you are just trolling for attention. I'll officially not pay attention to any of your takes going forward.

we'll never get anything from pop when it comes to injuries. if anything, he usually defers to the more pessimistic side. he did the same thing with devon's injury last week. basically, we won't know until we know.

I’m hopeful it was just a precaution. It was his 1st game and was there to just get acclimated. No sense bringing him back. He was able to shoot the free throw, even better thsn Poeltl. He’ll be okay.

Gorgui Dieng will be out against the Atlanta Hawks tonight. Lonnie Walker IV, Trey Lyles, and Keita Bates-Diop will also be out. (Per Spurs PR)

Best case scenario tbh. Now he'll cut us a deal on a 3-year extension.

Coach Pop thinks Gorgui Dieng could be out for about a week. Coach Pop emphasized that's just his guess. He said it's going to be depend on pain tolerance for Dieng.

Good news. He’ll be out about a week and then play with pain the rest of the season, rendering him a shell of what we thought we got when we signed him.

Never good when they put the old "Play with Pain" easier said then done - Do you play and look like shit on a contract year or do you sit until your healthy to get a contract?
