I hope other countries tell her
Their countries first not America first

Why are we even giving money to that group?
We give them the most ! None of those countries came and helped us when 9-11 happened
How many of them helped with Iraq war ?
USA needs to stay out of other countries $ and send our troops home.
USA has a crisis with the boarder now protect it instead of someone else’s

It'll trickle down.

This would be the exact opposite of that.

Trickle down in economic terms means showering corps with money via tax cuts and the like, with the theory that if they're flush with cash they'll use it to invest in more jobs, etc. growing the economy.

In reality, they largely use that money on stock buybacks, golden parachutes, competitor acquisitions, and whatever else makes their short term stock value go up.

Corporate tax increases, on the other hand, are the complete opposite of the trickle down theory.

And now they'll be showering the government with money. You saying it won't trickled down?

No, I'm saying that's not what's known as 'trickle down' in economic terms (ie: Arthur Laffer terms).

I'm certainly not concerned with the government's ability to spend the money it collects. I think they actually do too much of that, tbh...

So you're saying we need more austerity?

No, I think we need to, at the very least, offset some of the spending with either cuts, or, as in this case, some tax increases.

You know, the whole "let's give these rich people all these tax cuts" solely on faith that they'll grow the economy instead of pocketing the difference is what really needs to disappear. Especially since when the cuts come, they largely go against those that need it most, like medical aid for the poor, etc.

Nowhere I claimed I have faith in the government. I'm simply stating I have zero faith in the private sector to do the right thing as well, especially since greedy people abound.

China has created its own cryptocurrency, probably to escape dominance by the US$.

In future, buying stuff from China might require paying in Chinese cryptocurrency, which one would buy with US$. This is how non-US$ countries pay for oil and gas, with their currency, they buy US$ to pay the oil/gas supplier.

The world domination by the US$ as reserve currency is probably not eternal.
