Yeah, I'd be shocked if he left LA. If the Clippers get knocked out early in the playoffs, though, I could see him exploring his options. He sees himself as an all-time great, and he won't be happy muddling along in mediocrity if the Clippers fizzle again.
Could you imagine him opting out after the Clippers gave up the franchise's entire future to get him? That would be nuts. Kawhi won't do them any favors, either, were he to bolt. That player option will be interesting.

He left 2 championship teams to be closer to home. I really don't think he cares about basketball or money as much as he cares about being home. It would be hilarious if he left though, that would make him even more of an enigma.

That's exactly what I think. I don't think Kawhi likes sharing the limelight with PG13 but if he goes to the Flakers he'll be somewhat in the same situation though it's the Flakers.

It's going to be interesting because in the likely event they get bounced again & there is zero way to improve their team (no draft picks & PG owed $50 million in 2025), Kawhi is going to get heavily criticised by the National media every year until then if he stays.
