Dems' risk is that they STILL won't be able to get 51 Senate votes to confirm 4 judges, should make 5 for margin

This isn't a judicial problem, so the SCOTUS should have no say in it. Far from the first time SCOTUS seats have been added/removed by Congress.

Manchin has said he will not vote to pack court or end filibuster. Sinema may not even be on board either. Seems DOA.
I could definitely see term limits for justices, though.

I call it neo-communism because it's basically a "new" form where corporations & institutions basically call the shots and not "the people" or the "working class" which was always the basis of communism but only in text not in practice. In practice all perish regardless.

but giving more power to privately controlled corporations is a direct contradiction to even the most basic understanding of what communism is.
its one thing to say that regimes that called themselves communist never had any real intention of delivering a true communist outcome (and i'd actually largely agree with you). but thats different than somehow saying that the literature/theory itself is a farce, that doesnt make much sense imo
political theory is something i took interest in during college. havent read much literature since then, though.

Even Marx himself knew Communism was total and utter bullshit and stated so later in life.
The argument that "real" Communism hasn't been implemented is perpetuated by idiots like yourself. Communism has been implemented correctly and it's lead to its eventual goal which is total control of the masses and death for most. The end goal is always the same no matter where it's been implemented.

this is what i'm talking about, though. communism wasn't some half baked idea of "lol utopia"... there's a lot of literature and theory on the subject. communism refers to an ideology which seeks to establish a stateless, classless, and effectively, a de-commodified society. i think its safe to say that this has never existed in any real sense, even if we removed the stateless criterion. hell, the closest thing to this is probably primitive tribes :lol
and again, if your argument is that historically, we have seen aspiring leaders use the supposed allures of communism as a means to gain support, but ultimately seize complete control, then it seems that we are in complete agreement.

Somebody did the math - the democrats were less than 100k votes from losing all 3 - POTUS/Senate/House. And some of them are acting like it was a landslide win and a mandate for major change. I don't see Dems taking GA in 2022 for a few reasons.
1.) The orange boogeyman is long gone.
2.) No justification to offer checks for a vote like in 2020
Lacking motivation to vote in GA in 2022. But let's see who the GOP runs with. If it's a Trump clone then GA might just break Blue again :lol
AZ will depend on how well or shitty their response is to the border crisis. Biden gets tougher and fills the gaps at the border and Kamala starts acting like she cares, then it works out better for the left as more moderates with sense will break his way.

Yes, the Republicans made it 8 in 2016 by refusing to hold a vote on anyone for a year after Scalia died. They explicitly made the SCOTUS size 8 and now want to whine that the number 9 is sacred.
If Repugs wanted 8, why did they ram through ACB to make it 9?

Because they wanted 9 as soon as they were back in power and could appoint their own judges, what the fuck kind of stupid line of questioning is this? Gorsuch was 9, not COVID Barrett.

The people that hate the US stormed the capitol on January 6th at Trump's behest. I guess you could call that celebrating?
Those trashballs hopelessly love this place. Hence all the American flags they wave around.

Repugs never had any intention of leaving SCOTUS at 8, except for the last few months of Obama's term.

He doesn't think that Trump deliberately started the riot, despite the fact he invited his cult members for that specific day, and lied to them that he was going to march with them.

No shit, but they wanted it at 8 when they couldn't nominate anyone. They would have let it go to 7 or 6 had Clinton won in 2016 but the senate stayed GOP controlled. They established the precedent there is nothing sacred about 9 so Biden and the Democrats need to follow that precedent and start nominating and confirming new justices.
