They've had absolutely no practice time with this crazy condensed schedule they're on, so it stands to reason that working on that specific zone hasn't happened.

Also, he likely threw it out there hoping it would take Miami out of their rhythm. Unfortunately, the guys missed some assignments and Butler/Adebayo were able to easily find the soft spots.

i know this take is going to be unpopular but if we had more of those types with Demar we would be a playoff team easily. We have too many bad defenders and mediocre shooters and the actual good shooters aren’t defenders. Lol. Vassell and White are the only two true 3&D guys. Poeltl definitely had his good moments. He was impactful when he wasn't making stupid mistakes such as getting in foul trouble early and that horrid foul on Butler af the end of the game. I couldn't say first half good, second half bad because the bad was sprinkled in different sections for Poeltl.
