and a million bucks from the Globetrotters.

Wow, did you know this? I did not.

1969:
The Harlem Globetrotters offered Alcindor $1 million to play for them, but he declined and was picked first in the 1969 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks, who were in only their second season of existence. The Bucks won a coin-toss with the Phoenix Suns for first pick. He was also chosen first overall in the 1969 American Basketball Association draft by the New York Nets.[43] The Nets believed that they had the upper hand in securing Alcindor's services because he was from New York; however, when Alcindor told both the Bucks and the (ABA) Nets that he would accept only one offer from each team, the Nets bid too low. Sam Gilbert negotiated the contract along with Los Angeles businessman Ralph Shapiro at no charge.[30][44] After Alcindor chose the Milwaukee Bucks' offer of $1.4 million, the Nets offered a guaranteed $3.25 million. Alcindor declined the offer, saying, "A bidding war degrades the people involved. It would make me feel like a flesh peddler, and I don't want to think like that."

You'll never convince me that Lew, nor any other NBA or college player that was heavily sought after did not get extra bidding money in the form of under the table payments.

However, no proof Lew did take any under the table payment, also this was before he became Kream and a corrupt Laker so perhaps he absolutely took less out of principle.

Did I say the league is slavery?

Internal transfer of staff to different franchises is totally normal. Don’t like it, quit.

If you don't like your job, get another one in a different location. The players fought for this. Now I personally don't like all of the teaming up and forming super teams tha lebron and KD have been doing, but they are well within their rights to do so. Just don't be mad at murray when he finally gets tired of popovich's bullshit and wants out..

You do realize that the nba is the company and the teams are franchises, right?

Lew boycotted the 1968 Olympics due to racial abuse.

Kind of like Pop boycotting due to human rights abuses.

you do realize that if a player doesn't want to play for one of these franchises, they can force their way out right? And I don't have a problem with it. You guys are too invested in this NBA shit thinking you own players. If you view it from a pessimistic pov, you won't be disappointed in so much shit that fucks with your mentals...

And he did. And in doing so he screwed over the bucks. Which part did you not understand?

You know people can do all kinds of shady stuff in business to benefit themselves but would still screw people over. Right?

Slavery needs a modified definition. Everyone who has a job is technically a slave I suppose.

^ Not sure.
Also not sure who the two on the far right are.

I do know the search engine has an interesting thought. Without any prompting it's presenting:

Why was Adam Abdul Jabbar stabbed on Family Feud?

Yes, it was exaggeration. But still, trade can be pretty uncomfortable. New city, new home, new team ...

So far we have:

Kreams son was stabbed on Family Fued.
Not sure if his daughters or the mother of his offspring were attempted to be stabbed on FF.

Millenial Messiah has a lot of game.
Think he could score a date with Kareems daughter?
