okay, that was an exception because it was a 1/8 (12.5%) chance of CAR @ DEN being on the schedule immediately after the super bowl year, and the Panthers complained quite a bit about that because it was kind of smushed in their face.

Other than a super bowl rematch, they wouldn't do it, but the super bowl rematch is kind of shitty for the losing team to watch the other team hang up the banner on opening night.

People are buying hard on the Stafford Rams but I'm not so sure. I mean yeah he's a better QB than Goff but he's also a down the field guy, not so much the west coast stuff that McVay likes to run.
