View Full Version : Who killed Marilyn Monroe?

I just finished reading an article on Marilyn's death (this month's Playboy mag...which also has a great interview with Pacino and another good read on Super Bowl tix bookies.) I'm not an expert (although I admit to being a Forensic Files junkie), there were a few points that the article brought up that really make me wonder how it could have been classified as an "apparent suicide" and not further investigated as a murder. Though this might be fun to discuss...as I'm sure everyone has an opinion on theory. Feel free to add your thoughts:
1) Her house was completely bugged, under 24/7 surveillance from all sorts of people (FBI, CIA, Hoffa, etc.) So how could no one have heard, or even better, had a tape of what happened that night?
2) The autopsy report was compromised, with a majority of the substances reported "missing"...including that from her stomach (her death, they say, was caused from taking 30-40 pills...but how could that be confirmed without proper testing?)
3) She was planning to re-marry Joe DiMaggio (according to his niece), so the idea of killing herself (and not really leaving a note, or calling him) doesn’t seem to really make sense to me.

Sirhan Sirhan shot Kennedy because he killed MM. The only problem is that, like the JFK assassination, RFKs is just as cloudy.

Robert Kennedy did not kill Marilyn Monroe. He was with her that day, but when he left, she was very much alive.

Oswald was a patsy.
Oswald may have been a patsy, but he wasn't dumb. He spoke Russian, was a marginal shot in the Army, and 'rumored' to be in the intelligence community. He had to know what was happening in the library, and more than likely helped to facilitate it. What he didn't anticipate is that the conspiracy would fall squarely on his shoulders.

If Robert was the last to see marilyn monroe, then i assume you heard the rest from the "fly" on the wall that day.

Who said Robert was the last to see Marilyn that day?
This whole Kennedy-killed-Marilyn conspiracy theory comes from the word of one man - mobster Sam Giancana.
Chicago mobster Sam Giancana reportedly claimed to have ordered Monroe's killing with the help of the CIA and the Kennedys. Most of these theories have been discredited for lack of evidence.

Peter Lawford (Bobby Kennedy's brother in law) and Pat Newcomb also went to Marilyn Monroe's house on the night she died.

Marilyn Monroe was a really, really crazy, fucked-up woman with mental issues. She killed herself, poor thing.
Pretty good issue, though.:tu

Robert Kennedy was a highly respected Attorney General with an impeccable record.
Marilyn Monroe's death was likely an accident.

well, you said yourself he went to see her that day...say what you want, but it cannot be denied that he DIDN'T STOP HER DEATH. :tu
if he was all that and a bag of chips as you suggest, then maybe he would have seen her need for help and not left her in such a fucked up state...
i can respect all the good a man does while not sucking his dick and admitting that we all have faults and make mistakes....can you?

What would you have liked him to do? Marilyn was never that stable to begin with. As I said before, I think Monroe's death was a horrible accident, but I don't think Robert Kennedy was involved.

Shit, she'd tried that. Marilyn death was probably due to an accidental mixture of drugs she was prescribed. This is why no evidence of pills were found in her digestive system.

Robert Kennedy was prosecuting the mob, why would Sam Giancana do Kennedy a favor? There may have been mob involvment, but more than likely in an attempt to discredit Kennedy through scandal.

After the Bay of Pigs fiasco the mob hated Kennedy, but you still haven't anwered why Sam Giancana would kill Monroe to help Kennedy?

I'm not totally discounting that there may have been some mob involvement in the death of Marilyn Monroe, however, until a eye-witness with more credibility than Sam Giancana proves differently, her death will remain either a horrible accident due to a mixture of two prescription medicines, or self-inflicted. You gotta remember, Marilyn wasn't that stable to begin with, John Kennedy had just broken up with her, her movie career was stalled, and she had a serious pharmacutical drug problem.
She was never gonna go back to Joe Di'maggio, she loved Joe, but she thought he was way to controlling for her.

the fact is, as much good as JFK did?
he was still a lying cheating asshole to the one person on this earth that he should have had 100% faith to.
but nobody is perfect...so God rest his soul.
and if he, his brother, or whoever had a hand in his mistress's death?
may God forgive them.
but then again, they were all murdered as well...what goes around comes around you know...
