Another big problem will be rebounding. The Grizz are much taller at the 3 and 4 spot. It will be interesting to see if Pop goes small ball and if the rotation squeezes down to 8.

One thing that we have going for us is that they kicked our asses the last 2 games. We can improve a lot and it's hard to beat an NBA team 3 teams in a row when they are this evenly matched.

DJ needs to be discipline in staying in front and resist the steal gambles. DJ/Poeltl need to communicate on protecting the PNR. If they can make Ja settle for jumpshots, then they succeed. Poeltl needs to control the boards and prevent 2nd chances. Keldon/Demar/Lonnie need to help boxout and rebounding. Demar needs to be aggressive from the get go and earn his trips to the line. The second unit with Patty and Rudy bringing back the Spurs to at least be in the game. That tells you everything... this team simply lacks the talent to be competitive at the top level. It is still too early, but even if they beat Memphis, I don't think this team can beat any of the upper echelon teams in the West in a playoff series. We need better players and/or develop the young ones in a hurry.

I doubt it, man.

I could see one or two, but not all three returning. Patty could return since they still haven't found a serviceable replacement of his skillset (volume three - point shooting), but Gay and DeRozan likely want to go to a winning or "championship" environment.

The Spurs aren't going to provide either for sometime and the young guys (including our next draft pick) need touches + minutes to improve.

I like this effort and cutting the lead down under 10.
