Eddie Guerrero passes away
Nov. 13, 2005

WWE is deeply saddened by the news that Eddie Guerrero has passed away. He was found dead this morning in his hotel room in Minneapolis. Eddie is survived by his wife Vickie and daughters Shaul, 14, Sherilyn, 9, and Kaylie Marie, 3.

Aw man that blows. Eddie was always one of the WWE's and WCW's best performers, both in the ring and with a mic. For this to happen after he had apparently finally gotten his life in order...that's just sad.

I saw a special a while back on him talking about his career and the troubles he had in ring and out. Hopefully he had put his past behind him and his passing was something physically related.

According to what I have heard, he has been sober for 4 years. Is it possible that his past drug/alcohol addiction/abuse could have been a cause?

I think it is so sad for someone who has fought so hard to get clean to pass like that. :depressed

Either Roids or Caine caught up.

Shame.

One of my friends got to do a private auto session when WCW came through one time a while back when NWO was hot and such, and said out of all the guys, Eddie Guerrero was the nicest and wanted to talk, just like regular people.

He had been clean of his addictions for just a few days short of 4 years, and was bragging about being so. He was proud to be clean, and I doubt he would have relapsed given that.

But the time he Was addicted ravaged him so much internally that any heart issues he would have had as an old man would have hit him at a lot younger age. He was clean, but the damage had probably been done. Damn I'm going to miss watching him wrestle.

Yeah. Thats what I was askin. If his past abuse could have been the cause, even after he was sober.

Na, I don't think they would try to fake a death, it's very disrespectful to the fans and in some cases it can even be illegal.

But to be honest, I would rather be ''tricked'' than for Eddie to actually be dead.

Remember the Von Ericks?

I grew up watching the Von Erichs! I saw Kerry and Kevin here in Corpus 3 or 4 times, when they came to the Memorial Coliseum, they were awesome!

Kerry (Texas Tornado) was my fav. Very sad how most of the Von Erich brothers killed themselves though.

1)David Von Erich: died in his sleep in Tokyo, Japan:Feb. 10,1984 Age:25
2)Mike Von Erich: Suicide by overdosing on Placidyl:April 12, 1987 Age:23
3)Chris Von Erich: Suicide with 9mm pistol:Sept. 12, 1991 Age:21
4)Kerry Von Erich: Kerry Von Erich a.k.a Texas Tornado, Suicide with a .44 caliber handgun, one day after being indicted for cocaine possession:Feb. 18, 1993 Age:33
5)Fritz Von Erich(Father): Cancer and a Brain Tumor:Sept. 10, 1997 Age 68

Very sad...

For all you wrestling fans out there make sure you tune in tonight and watch RAW on USA and have the ratings go thru the roof!! All the superstars will pay tribute to the first and only Mexican Heavyweight Champ. And from what I heard, Chris Benoit took it the hardest(remember Jeff Jarret.. yeah like that), and i know eddies family will be there since some live in PHX. To me, he was a role model to hispanics and all those who were told "your just not cut out for it". Eddie.. you will be missed..
RIP.

I actually thought the same thing when they said Owen Hart died. I was watching that PPV. They obviously didn't show when he fell but I thought it was just a ploy and next week he'd be on WCW.

But it wasn't.
