I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I had greatly soured on Wes Anderson after Tenenbaums, but he went away from the "let's make a trendy cult film" mentality that prevailed in that film and went back to what made Bottle Rocket and Rushmore great.
I could do without Angelica Huston though.

I was kind of disappointed with it, but I'd like to see it again.
I won that DVD at a GTG last year!
still in the wrapper too!

It's one of those movies that can be great fun or totally boring - depending on your mood when you watch it.
And if you're not a Jacques Cousteau fan most jokes will be lost on you.

My parents always watched that when I was growing up... hands down the most boring program on PBS. :lol
But I really enjoyed the movie, it was really dry, but entertaining.
Addendum: I get the feeling that the movie wasn't made for non-pot smokers... but it's snooty enough so that maybe it was made for hashish smokers.

I never said it had to be voluntary. I think I saw all of the Cousteau "documentaries" because there was basically nothing else on TV :lol
