MONTREZL HARRELL

- The Lakers are no longer playing him.

- He is not much of a defender but he can be an elite post scorer and is a high energy player we often lack.

- Considering we don't have a starting 4, could he be it?

- His weakness can be erased by playing him with Poeltl or Dieng.

- Spacing could be a problem but we have been dealing with it since 2019.

- He already have complete seasons of averaging more than 17pts/game.

- He needs to show the world that he belongs... the Spurs might present the space to do it.

- He has a player option of 9m next year. Wouldn't he sign a 1+1yr /10m per and the possibility to start or play heavy minutes?

His "weakness" should have already been figured out after playing on top teams in the NBA in consecutive years. Usually you find underperforming players on bad-to-average teams, not good ones. The Spurs would be better off picking up talent from teams who mismanage them. Good teams rarely do.

Imagine the spacing with Poeltl, Johnson, White and Murray?

I'd take him. He has some nasty in him that the Spurs are missing.

Not a fan. I think he got overhyped by his 6MOTY award but hasn't lived up to it. Disappeared in the bubble and has hardly played for the Lakers in these playoffs.

Also strikes me as a fake tough guy...Spurs need a real enforcer, not a guy who just plays the part.

chances are that harrell has peaked. i wouldn't want a player whose best years are likely behind him.

He plays hard. His energy could set the pace that is all too often missing in players that often play with little urgency.

He’s yesterday’s NBA PF. People here are both crying for shooting and advocation for Trez. Those two things are diametrically opposed.

Why isn't he playing in that Lakers team?

:lmao Pretending you follow the league and understand modern basketball when you don't even know what position Harrell plays.

Harrell likely won't be a Laker next year. Him and Schroder will both be available for cheap. Oh, and Kuzma is always available. He's like the former meth lab rental house that sits on the market with half the windows boarded up.

:lol Remember when the Lakers were trying to dangle Kuzma as the carrot for Kawhi or AD?

Must suck to play for a team you know is looking to trade you at the first opportunity. But I guess he got a ring out of it.
