I want to go to Winterpark, but everytime I mention it, it's like the worst thing ever. WTF else is there to do that week?

Nearest ski resort: 30 min. drive :eyebrows

Skiing in Slovenia is one of those automatic "must know how" things like swimming or riding a bike. I used to compete in skiing when younger, then I neglected it a bit in the past ten years, but we're picking it up again since it's time for me to teach my daughter.

My aunt hit a tree on a skiing trip when I was around 10 and was in a coma for a month. That cured me of any desire whatsoever to ever go plummeting down a mountain at mach 5 and no brakes. I make bad-assed homemade hot cocoa, though. :tu

I went two years ago and was flying up the mountain at 30 to 40 mph. Notice, I said "up" the mountain. Most fun thing I've done in a long time. January 22nd. Book it!!!!! PM me for details.

I grew up skiing competitively in Austria and Switzerland - have only skied twice in the US (Crested Butte and Riodosa) but my uncle just bought a condo in Steamboat, so hopefully I'll start going a lot soon.

Love, love, love skiing. You paying? King, my first skiing experience was at Crested Butte. I sucked, so I loved the Houston run. The second or third trip down I crashed and burned. It was so bad that a group of what appeared to be professionals raced down to me to help me out. They were so confused that I was laughing my ass off, legs going every which way, skis popped off, covered in snow upside down, and facing downhill. Fun times!
