Update: Bryant shot 7-of-18 from the field and scored a team-high 18 points in Monday night's loss to the Grizzlies.
Recommendation: Kobe had three rebounds, a pair of assists and four turnovers in the loss. As a team, the Lakers shot just 32.5 percent from the field. "We were relying on Kobe and Kobe couldn't shoot the ball because of a hand injury. He was just reluctant to shoot," Lakers' coach Phil Jackson said. Jackson did not elaborate on the severity of the injury, which was apparently suffered in the Lakers' win over Atlanta on November 8th. We'll monitor Bryant's status in case this becomes a persistent problem.
