Clouds are clearing out to the north here... either that signifies the arrival of the colder airmass or the potheads in Austin ran out of matches...

Sustained winds of a good 15mph or so... gonna be a big change in the weather...temp has already gone down some.

I feel like I should be covering this for the weather channel or something. Eat your heart out, Dan Rather and the Hurricane. :lol

Up here in Dallas it went from 73 this morning to now currently 61 at lunch, and is supposed to be in a downward spiral the rest of the day to a low of 32 tonight.

Come on, precipitation :tu

I think that is pretty much over with, as in none to report.

Houston will see like 44 tonight and 68 tomorrow afternoon. Then highs start creeping back up.

If things keep going like this, I may start growing bananas and coffee in my yard so at least I can take advantage of this new climate.

We always had bananas growing up. If you put them on the south side of a tall building, they usually keep from freezing entirely and they'll make a bunch of tiny bananas the next year - and they're really good.

Citrus also can grow here with no problems, provided that you protect them when it gets cold. I know someone who strings christmas lights in his tree and plugs them in and covers the tree when it gets cold.

When we lived in Kenya, we had a yard full of coffee bean trees. I didn't appreciate them then like I certainly would now.

No bananas, though...but sunflowers bigger than your head. :lol
