The best of the 2004 NBA draft class
1. Kosta Perovic, C, Croatia. You know the drill -- he's 7-3 and can shoot it.
2. Marko Lekic, PF, Serbia. Another versatile 7-foot teen.
3. Emeka Okafor, PF, Connecticut. A defensive monster who is improving offensively.
4. Hakim Warrick, SF, Syracuse. Made a name for himself in the NCAAs; must add weight.
5. Pavel Podkolzine, C, Russia. At 7-5, impressed NBA scouts this year before withdrawing.
6. David Harrison, C, Colorado. Has a big body and is a good shot blocker.
7. Charlie Villanueva, SF, Connecticut. A year with Jim Calhoun will do wonders.
8. Ben Gordon, PG, Connecticut. Scores, passes and defends -- a complete point guard.
9. Raymond Felton, PG, North Carolina. A good leader who is very fast and strong.
10. Torin Francis, PF, Notre Dame. Very tough in the post and on the boards.
11. Wayne Simien, PF, Kansas. Health is the only issue that could drop him.
12. Tiago Splitter, SF, Brazil. Only 18, with great size (6-10) and athleticism.
13. Anderson Varejao, PF, Brazil. Withdrew this year but should be back.
14. Luol Deng, PF, Duke. A focused, intense player who is loaded with potential.
