Why would you need that much hd space? Worry about processor speed and ram, 100 gigs of hd space is all you'll ever need. Unless of course you have an extensive porn collection.

what size CPU would I need to process 1000 Gig HD?

Is yours a Maxtor? This dude wants to sell a 1 Terabyte HD for 800.00 dollars.
But If I can't use it I don't want to make the trade,

I would have to work for him for a month straight to pay for it.

He claims you can download songs and programs for 2 years and not need another HD, here is a picture.

I want to start on the last page of this website and copy every post in every forum, Then I want to download as many programs and games off eDonkey before they shut it down,

Dude I'm not 100% sure but the processor speed doesn't matter much. It's just going to be a little slower when you write. The main thing that matters is the operating system and the speed of the Drives you get. Make sure they are at least 10,000k fast.

10,000 speed is nice, but terribly pricey. Check out the link I posted.

Either of those will give you plenty of space mouse. The external one is better because you can take it with you anywhere easily. It can connect to almost any other computer. It is not the fastest thing out there but for what you want to use it for it will be fine. It's able to handle much more data than your internet connection can put on it. It's much cheaper than that Ebay thing and I trust the warranty much more from the manufacturer.

That said, I don't think you need that much space. Unless you really go all out it'll be a while before you fill that sucker up. But again, the good thing about it is that you can simply plug into whatever computer you want, so upgrading from system to system won't mess things up.

I work for the company that sells the actual "targets" to these customers who make these HD's. Stick with Seagate. Trust me. :)

It costs like $800. He used to offer a payment plan, but now he insists upon getting it all up front.

Hard disks are random access. It doesn't take more time if you have more disk space to read/write the disk. Also, a faster CPU doesn't make the hard disk go faster.

Now to back it up to floppies. That's a different story.
