Just like when neph was in Toronto, injuries to all the other team's star players are starting to take their toll. Neph is gonna win another because no one was healthy.

Not sure why the basketball gods seem to favor this fuck and his grifting uncle, but the stars do seem to align.

It's not looking good right now but the only solace I can take is that Clippers will continue to face herculean obstacles every round without having home court advantage for the rest of the playoffs.

Utah has too many weapons. A creator/scorer in Spider. A scorer in Clarkson. A GAGGLE of high level 3 point shooters, both starting and off the bench. I don’t think the LAC have enough defenders to keep up.

I thought Utah looked like the better team after Game 2 and then Game 3 happened. Clippers at their best blew them out while Utah had to win close games in both of their home games. Utah has to win tonight to have a chance to win this because I feel like the Clippers are more capable of beating them on the road than Utah winning on the road against them, tbh.

The scores in the games don’t matter. If it’s by 1 or 41, it counts as one win for the team. Some posters don’t realize it, but the 2007 Suns scored more points in the series, but lost 4-2.

Wasn’t necessarily my main point. I just think the Clippers still have the higher ceiling and in these two home games for them, they are reaching it. Conley being out hurts the Jazz a lot for sure, but I think the clippers look like the better team right now.

The funny thing is that since he left the spurs he hasn't been "San Antonio" Kawhi where he would guard the other teams best or second best offensive player the majority of the game, he became just another guy who only really guards the other teams best player at the end of the the game. Except for game 4 against Utah where from the opening tip he played fantastic defense on everyone on the Jazz and pretty much made it so they couldn't even get into first gear on offense. The absolute one time he plays like that in the playoffs, it ends with a leg injury and now he is out indefinitely :lmao

All that load management for nothing and now the clippers will have to decide if they are going to max out a guy with a degenerative issue in his right leg and multiple injuries to his left leg or NOT pay him and go forward with Paul George as there best player with no draft picks in forever.

Clips are operating over the cap so its not like they can really even sign anyone to replace Kawhi :lmao

I said the same thing when he didn’t even finish out the fourth quarter.

i knew his injury was way worse than he let on after the game. No way in hell with the Clippers losing that lead and barely holding on would a non injured Kawhi not get game time.

I’m wondering if he now wishes he had played that season in SA. He’s sitting on about 11 thousand points, and if it’s an ACL, he’ll miss most, or all of next season, and have a compromised recovery season after that. He’ll be 31 after the recovery season. I’d say his HOF case is in doubt.

They didn’t get any ownership. After uncle D threw his weight around during FA, there was a very thorough investigation. If there had been some sort of ownership conveyed, it would have been quietly reversed.

The Jazz are too deep. Good defense and a shit load of shooters. Wouldn’t do any good to damage Mitchell, because the Clippers are fucked, even if they advance.

It could be still dire depending on if the injury is an actual ACL tear. Kawhi is going to turn 30 at the end of this month. He's no longer a very young player. The ACL injury is terrible to have once you are 30 and older because the recovery is much harder vs a young 20 year old.

I get the same sense. Without Conley and with Mitchell less than 100% and due for regression to the mean, I still think the Clippers have a better team and win this series.

It didn't seem like it, but hopefully he tore his ACL. Not only because he deserves it, but because this would truly be the most open playoffs in at least modern history.

They said originally that it was an ACL sprain. Even the least serious ACL sprains take 2-4 weeks to heal. Knowing how slow of healer Kawhi is I would put it at 4 weeks. That would make him out for the WCF if the Clippers are somehow won against the Jazz.

Ben Wallace was a travesty. Kawhi also doesn’t have the defensive chops that Wallace had. K had maybe 3 dominant years. Ben terrorized the paint for a decade.

Other than the horrible induction of Wallace, I think every other US NBA player to be inducted in the last 40 years has bumped up against or exceeded 20 K points. Kawhi has 11K, a damaged quad, and a blown knee, and will turn 30 in a few weeks.

Don't know if they stay small to start or go big (guessing the former), but either way George, Morris, Batum, Jackson, Beverley, Zubac, Kennard, Mann, with Rondo, Cousins, Patterson as ancillary options, is still a viable rotation, especially given the competition.

Neither the Jazz nor Suns have a superstar either nor are they teeming with creators.

If they lose game 5 to the Jazz they will lose the series. If they somehow win the series and play the Suns I have heard Chris Paul could comeback for game 4. All the Suns would have to do is win 1 out of 3 games without Chris. If they are down 2-1 instead of 3-0 then the Suns will win the series with Chris being back.

Now, Leonard appears to be out for at least Wednesday and could be in danger of missing the rest of the series. This could mean Leonard went for an MRI or additional testing yesterday that revealed something else, something potentially more serious.
