FullSportPress has learned that there is more to the Spurs' draft plans than meets the eye. The Spurs are saying they are looking to draft a bigman, but the actual truth is they are targeting a pair of smaller players whom they think may fall in the draft.

Don't be surprised if a point guard or swingman is chosen with the 28th pick. Moving up in the draft is also a possibility.

There are backup bigmen targeted, but they are second options.

Pop works double-duty for the CIA in the European theatre. He is heavily trained in the art of surprise and misdirection and eats lots of cabbage and doesn't shower so that he can fit in well when he travels incognito.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the New Jersey Nets (who?) essentially stole the Spurs ideal pick last year (Nenad Krtic) spelling?. Something tells me the Nets still have no idea who he is.

could a Carlos Delfino, Josh Howard, or Boris Diaw fall into the Spurs laps?

Or could they trade up for one of those guys?????

This will be a very VERY interesting draft night.

Hey, if we work it right, we can stage a fight between Timvp and Ludden... I can hear Howard announcing it now...
"They're facing off now... Ludden goes for the big kill early... swinging a Big round and round, but it just won't land.
LJ counters with a furious volley of small guards, but they just can't get through the defensive chorus of "We need a Robinson replacement!"
Ludden backs LJ into the corner with a vigourous shot-blocking attack... but would you look at that! What a ruse! LJ has parlayed several smaller players for the infamous "Player to be named later"! Ludden is stunned, no retreat... LJ has him on the ropes, and now, he appears to be down for the count. What a display of draft day dodging!"

For anyone who went into the chat, you were told that the Spurs wanted Barbosa. A player on the Spurs flat out told us that Barbosa is going to be a good player in the league.
