Anybody ever buy some stuff from these guys? They came buy my house today and I was hungry, but resisted because I was unsure of the quality.

They were from USADIRECT or something like that.

A lot of people on my street by from Schwans, but I think it's mostly ice cream.

I had no idea people sold meat door to door, that might explain why when my doorbell rang and I opened it, I saw a man standing their holding his sausage,

I'm a regualr Schwans customer. :tu yum yum :p.. love the icecream.
I usually get the juices and the huge bags of frozen veggies.

As far as meat door-to-door goes..... I bought some one time and it was yummy and lasted a long time. But it's pricey. I got a good deal becasue I caught the guy out on my street one night and he was heading home... i made him an offer for his leftovers.

What he said. You can't beat Granzin's. And it's very inexpensive. We will go in there and come out with two bags of stuff (sausage links, bulk sausage, steaks, pork chops, bacon, hamburger) and it will be 50 bucks. And, they will divide 10 pounds of hamburger into 1-lb packages for you if you ask, it's easier to freeze and use that way.

I might try that sounds good. I like to go to Schlitterbahn in summer so I could swing buy and pick up some carnage.

That is the best bbq I've ever had, btw. We get it about every three trips. Only brisket that's better than theirs is my dads.

Anyhow - my dad used to buy meat (steaks and chicken) like that, but he knew the guy. I don't remember which company, but they were fantastic and so easy to cook. When we have space for that we'll do it too.

Also trust and love Omaha steaks etc.

You can get some really good deals on Omaha steaks and burgers (other companies, too) on QVC. You have to be watching, though, when they are demoing because they ALWAYS sell out on their QVC deals.
