The Celtics had a black coach in 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s and their last one prior to this hire was 8 years ago. Jay Williams is really dumb.

Can’t fault him for thinking doc rivers is white. I’m not sure what he’s thinking with regards to the other coaches.

Sidney Poitier was pretty good in in game adjustments and post time out plays in the 80s tbh

For all the “KKKeltics” comments, Boston is probably the NBA franchise with the most black coaches in league history but I could be wrong :
Russell, Tom Sanders, Sidney Poitiers, ML Carr, Rivers and Udoka

They were also the 1st NBA team to have a black head coach
