Why is he so unlucky with stepping on feet and turning ankles anymore, he never had this problem until last year. Tonight was the first real scare every time he goes down i just freak out, thinking man there goes our season.

According to MySanantonio.com/spurs

Tim told reporters after the game that his ankle is OK

(scroll to the bottom and you can see an "editor's note" with a quick line about the ankle)

So what happened? I had to leave for work at the end of the 3rd qtr. Got here in time to see the final four minutes. Timmy looked fine. Didnt have a clue he got hurt.

on his way to the basket timmy stepped on yao's foot and sprained his ankle and immediately hit the ground clutching it tightly. every spurs fan in the country held their breath but he walked it off and in post game has said that his ankle is fine.

I for one have never sprained my ankles except in addidas. Maybe its just a coincidence, but I don't trust their shoes anymore. I don't think they cup the heel of the foot enough, which is where real ankle sprains supposedly start. If your heel can slide form side to side just a little bit you lose your footing and are more likely to roll it. It doesn't have to do with high tops or low tops from what I have heard recently. Has anyone else heard that or had similar experiences with addidas?

I happen to believe that Tim T Duncan sometimes does this to pull out a brownie out of Pop and the rest of the team. Horry is quick to kiss Timmy's ass.

Could Timmy T be a prima donna???

I agree - SPurs fans hold their breath whenever Timmy takes a hit or a fall. If it is ever serious, it could change everything.

But, I think Timmy has learned how to fall better than almost anyone in the game - he has such good control of his body that he knows how to protect himself to minimize the impact of the bangs he takes. Doesn't mean he's invincible, just means he's going to be able to weather a lot of bumps.

This picture just cracks me up. I know how serious it could have been, but without being able to see Tim's face it looks like a little kid curled up on the floor to take a nap, and Yao's afraid to wake him up.

I came online to check the results, and went to Yahoo! Sports, and clicked on the recap and the first picture they had was the one that has just been posted above. My first thoughts were something along the lines of, "Fuck sake, not again". Then I read the recap and there was no mention, talk about relieved.

Tim stepped on David Wesley's foot.

The game was not as close as the score indicated. I will take any win that keeps the home win streak alive against Houston.

Where are all the posters bitching about the lack of depth at the PF position?

Dont they also think Holt is too cheap to put five PFs behind Tim?

When you stop and think about it, Horry is about it at PF so we'd have to use Marks and Oberto as his backups, both unproven.

NAZR and Rasho are centers without any flexibility or experience at the 4.

That's what I thought too. He didn't bump into Yao hard enough to fall the way he did. I think as soon as he felt his ankle going he sort of threw his body weight off that ankle. Better a sore tush than a busted ankle. It could've been worse. It probably also helpds that his ankles both look pretty heavily taped.

I fractured my ankle in my Adidas and it's not been right since, but I've also sprained them twice in Reeboks.

It's just a coincidence. I've worn adidas for the last 3 years and I've played basketball in them just about every other day. I've never sprained my ankle in them once. It's all a coincidence and it all depends on your body balance and luck.
